Laboratory Assistant

Independently conduct scientific research / work on projects. This will involve:

1. Plan, coordinate, organize and conduct experiments

2. Collect (bacterial, tissues, blood), process, catalog and store samples

3. Conduct cellular, biochemical, and molecular assays- chromatography, BCA, SDS-PAGE, qPCR, PCR, ELISAs, NMR, Mass Spectrometry, etc.

4. Perform initial data analysis; draft figures, methods, and results

5. Assist in maintaining laboratory operation and efficiency by assisting with performing inventory, organizing, and appropriately resourcing lab supplies and shared equipment

6. Maintaining laboratory equipment as assigned.

7. Assist with maintaining freezers and liquid nitrogen tanks (knowledge of repository structures)
