The Histotechnologist will be responsible for various techniques involved in the preparation of tissue specimens for examination by the pathologist and subsequent molecular genetic testing. Responsibilities may include sample accessioning, re-embedding, microtomy, hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining, immunohistochemical (IHC) staining, macrodissection of tumor tissue, and digital pathology. In addition, they will be involved with training as part of the Histotechnology OTJ training program, quality control, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
