Chemistry:
– Design and execute multi-step organic syntheses to develop novel functional compounds (photochromic dyes).
– Purify and characterize compounds using techniques such as NMR, GC-MS, and UV-Vis.- Conduct literature reviews to identify and evaluate synthetic methodologies and expected compound properties (e.g. color, absorption, intensity).
– Optimize reaction conditions and troubleshoot challenges in the synthetic process.
– Collaborate with the team to ensure the successful integration of organic compounds (photochromic dyes) into the final product (nanoparticle inks).
