Analyses difficult, novel and complex samples.
Responsible for quality control and quality assurance data.
Interprets and evaluates the results of analysis to determine the validity and scientific significance and to ensure that all the necessary information was obtained.
Provides advice concerning methodology problems encountered in the analysis of novel and complex samples to scientists in other Federal agencies, state organizations and private industry.
Provides training for lesser-experienced scientists on the precedents, analytical methods and instrumentation related to the scientific discipline of the position.
